Zappos podcast

Zappos' eclectic company culture is something they're proud of. A podcast is needed to highlight all the employee stories
From ball pits to nap aquariums, Zappos is known for their unconventional work place culture. In a place that encourages employees to be their most true self, incredible stories are bound to come about. This Web App is a place where all these stories live and can be heard by Zappos employees and customers alike.

Through user research, I discovered 3 main areas to design around:

Time

The majority of people listen to podcasts during their commute.

Medium

The majority of people use their phones to listen to podcasts.

Engagement

People would like to know more about the content but rarely look it up themselves because it's an extra step.

Large controls

Since most people are listening to podcasts on their commute, I strove to minimize screen time through large icons and controls. The menu is  accessible from the bottom of the page because the swipe up motion requires less precision than tapping a specific icon
After accessing each episode's page, users can find additional links, images, and information about that episode's topic.
